About the copyright

The pictures published in this blog (not including some well identified exceptions) belong to me. I took them, I retouched them, and, in some cases, I edited them in a more or less artistic way. This means that you, dear reader, can't make use and abuse of them as you like. Not everything in Internet is of "free use" and, in particular, these pictures aren't.

Nevertheless, I would like to see that my pictures are distributed and enjoyed if somebody like them. So the deal is this: you can give the pictures a personal use (for example, as a wall-paper in your computer), you can share them between your friends or show them in your web page (allways acknowledging the original author -that's me, Guillermo Rozas-), you can even modify or use them as the basis of another creative work (acknowledging that is based on a work of mine, but also clarifying that I have nothing to do with the modifications). Besides, you commit yourself to give these same rights of use and modification over any work based on my pictures.

All this is specified in the license under which I publish these pictures. As stated at the footer of each page of this blog, all the pictures that belong to me are released under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license, except if it's stated otherwise.

Creative Commons License

There is only one general exception to this rule: the pictures at wich people appear in a way that they can be identified are released under a little more restrictive license, Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-No Derivative Works 3.0 Unported. In those cases you can't modify the images nor make any derivative work, but only reproduce them as they are.

In any case, it's absolutely forbidden to give these pictures any commercial use. I don't live (for the time being) from photography, and I don't see why somebody should take advantage of my work to do so. However, this restriction (and any other expressed in the license) can be discussed in a case by case basis. If you are interested, leave a message at the appropriate picture.

Finally: you're not obliged to do it, but I'd like to know if you use or modify a picture of mine in your own work. I'd thank you to leave a message in those cases...
